Other Ingredients
Three non-active ingredients, all plant-derived, each doing a specific job that the capsule could not do without.
Rice flour
A bulking agent. Concentrated extracts take up very little physical space, and a capsule has to be filled consistently so that every one contains the same amount and the contents do not settle or shift.
Rice flour is inert, gluten-free and one of the more benign fillers available for the purpose.
Vegetable cellulose
The capsule shell, and the reason Moringa Leaf Complex suits vegan and vegetarian routines. The common alternative is gelatin, which is animal-derived.
This is worth checking on any plant-based supplement. A surprising number use gelatin shells and disclose it only in the small print beneath the panel, which catches out people who reasonably assumed a plant supplement would be plant-based throughout.
Vegetable magnesium stearate
A flow agent. It stops powder adhering to manufacturing equipment, which is what allows accurate, consistent filling at production speed. It is used across the supplement and pharmaceutical industries and typically accounts for well under one per cent of a capsule's contents.
The "vegetable" prefix indicates the stearic acid is plant-derived, keeping the formula suitable for vegan routines.
On the magnesium stearate question
You may have read online that magnesium stearate should be avoided. Those claims trace largely to a 1990 laboratory study on isolated mouse immune cells exposed to stearic acid — not a study of humans, and not of dietary exposure.
Stearic acid is an ordinary dietary fatty acid found in beef and cocoa butter at levels far exceeding what a capsule contributes. It is included here because it allows accurate dosing, and we would rather explain that openly than quietly leave it off a marketing page.
What is not in the formula
There are no colourings, no sweeteners and no surplus binders anywhere in the formula — an unusually brief excipient list by the standards of the aisle.
Allergen information
None of the above are allergens. However, the product is manufactured and packaged in a facility which may also process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and crustacean shellfish. If you have a serious allergy, please factor that in and contact support with any questions about the facility.
